Dr. Michael Blair

 

Dr. Blair has owned and operated Animal Eye Care of Richmond in 1999.

 

He graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 with honors. He then completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal and equine medicine and surgery at Michigan State University. After internship he completed a three-year residency in Comparative Ophthalmology at Purdue University.

 

Dr. Blair also has a BS in Pharmacy and an MS in Pharmacology both from St. Johns University and he was a practicing Clinical Pharmacist for 13 years before going to vet school.

 

He enjoys raising Scottish Deerhounds with his family.

 

Dr. Ann Bosiack DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVO

 

Dr. Bosiack joined Animal Eye Care in 2013.

 

She obtained her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Missouri in 2009, graduating summa cum laude. She then completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at University of Pennsylvania. She returned to the University of Missouri for a residency in Comparative Ophthalmology and concurrently obtained her Master's degree.  

 

She enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her children.  

 

 

Dr. Jonathan Hirsch DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVS

Dr. Hirsch has joined Animal Eye Care of Richmond to complete his three-year comparative ophthalmology residency in conjunction with the Animal Vision Center of Virginia in Virginia Beach. He has become an integral asset and welcomed member to the Animal Eye Care family.  

 

Dr. Hirsch grew up in Charlottesville and attended Randolph-Macon College before completing veterinary school at Virginia Tech.  He completed a large animal surgical residency at UC Davis and is a Diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.  He comes to us with a significant amount of veterinary and surgical experience and has served as staff surgeon for practices in California and Virginia for the past 12 years.

 

Dr. Hirsch enjoys running, going to the beach and spending time with his family.
